All in a morning’s work for the Upskills team volunteering at NZ Food Network to lend a hand to their important kaupapa.
At NZ Food Network it’s all about reducing food waste and putting it into the hands of those who need it.
This amazing organisation offers one simple solution to two major issues:
Good food ending up in landfills,
The rising rate of food insecurity in New Zealand
The donated food is delivered to 65 charitable organisations nationwide, including those in some of the most remote regions.
So we were very proud to have packed up 2,400 boxes of butter and moved 1,200kgs of food ready for distribution.
