Feeling awkward about signing off your emails off in Te Reo Māori? Not quite sure where to start?
This week’s the week to give it a go! Te Reo Māori is one of three official languages of Aotearoa and a taonga of our country. Why use it? Well, it’s beautiful, for one. By using it you spread awareness of the language, and also make space for others to feel confident using it. It’s a responsibility for all of us to take up in our workplaces, whānau and schools.
This year you can download a super useful greeting sheet (one of many great resources from Te Taurawhiri i Te reo Māori with phrases for greeting and signing off your emails at work. There are loads of easy variations to try. The great thing about repeating them in your email signature is you cement the learning in your own mind, too.
