“The Money Confidence graduates at Delegat have all achieved their financial goals.”
Taking part in the 8-week programme has been a powerful experience for the 12 participants at the iconic Delegat Auckland Winery in West Auckland.
Whether it’s saving up for a daughter’s braces, a barbeque, a holiday or a laptop – the Money Confidence graduates at Delegat have all achieved their financial goals.
“This course has been life-changing for me. You’re looking at a different woman, a non-stressed woman,” commented one participant.
“Saving used to be a foreign concept to me but now I know how to budget and put money aside for my kids,” said another.
When the Delegat Wellbeing Committee was looking for an opportunity to provide their staff with financial literacy tools, the Future Ready Money Confidence programme was a great solution.
The course delivers financial literacy within a Pacific cultural framework. So it was a perfect fit for the Delegat team, many of whom hail from around the Pacific.
Winery Operations Manager, Craig Lindsay, says the course has had more impact than he imagined.
“When you hear the team speaking about their relationship with money before starting the programme and what they know now, you begin to realise how life-changing the knowledge picked up from the course has been,” he says. “It is great to hear the graduates passing their newfound knowledge on to their families as well.”
Upskills facilitators, Korelli Mulitalo and Junita Tupai agree. “
“I’m so proud of you all,” said Korelli to the graduates. “You’ve all achieved the goals you set out to do which is awesome and amazing to see.”
Future Ready Money Confidence is delivered in partnership with Auckland Unlimited and is a fully-funded learning programme.
