Colour in and personalise the Matariki stars

How to enter
1. Print out the worksheet and cut up pages 1 & 2 so the description of each Matariki star is on a separate strip of paper. Hang the star descriptions around your workplace (you could even make it a treasure hunt).
2. Give your team time to find the star descriptions and learn what each star represents, making their own notes.
3. Provide each team member with a copy of page 3 of the worksheet and ask them to complete it by adding colour and words to explain what each Matariki star means for them in the coming year. For example, they might write the names of people who have passed on, they might draw a water tank as maybe the goal is to collect and use rainwater etc.
4. Scan or photograph the completed Matariki star page and email it to our facilitator, mel@upskills.co.nz. Your entry must reach us before 5 pm on 11 July.
We will announce the winner on our social pages and right here on 12 July 2024. The winner will receive an Upskills prize pack.
Ts&Cs: You must be a resident of New Zealand to enter this competition and be over the age of 18 years. The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. The prize pack (Upskills merchandise and edible treats) cannot be substituted for cash. The winner will be notified by email and couriered their prize pack. Please allow 3-5 working days for delivery.
