What do you love most about working at King Country Petfoods?
I like the team that I work with, I enjoy that I get given some responsibility. I enjoy the relaxed nature of my job.
What was the best learning from the programme and why does it make a difference to you?
Growing more confident in becoming a future leader in my job. Getting up and becoming more familiar with the kinds of tasks you are given, what it takes to be a supervisor, a manager, a leader. Becoming better as a person.
Best learning tip
Don’t doubt yourself. Believe in yourself. At first, it is all new daunting, uncertain, and out of your comfort zone. Become familiar, make it your comfort zone.
Teach us something
My forte is social/public speaking. I can teach how to become more confident when speaking. Watching my other classmates speaking, they sounded like they weren’t confident before they spoke, but when they got up there they believed in themselves and sounded confident. Don’t doubt yourself.
Tell us about someone who has inspired you
My father has inspired me to be the man I am today. He is a gang member he has tattoos all over his face. People judge him before they know him, he looks scary. But he is the kindest, gentlest man you’d meet.
Goal for the future
My goal is to be better today than yesterday’s version of myself.
