Congratulations to our latest Graduates! 🎉
King Country Pet Food runs a ‘people-powered plant’ from its base in Taumarunui. It celebrates a culture of inclusion and diversity, selecting team members with the best expertise, experience, and energy to create a culture of excellence, that is open, honest and respectful.
We worked with them to set up two groups of learners, who have built confidence in their communication and engagement at mahi. These groups have been highly engaged and applied their learning to the workplace. The managers noted that prior to the programme this group did not readily speak up, but they were very impressed with their presentations and speaking in front of the group.
“You guys are no longer the quiet ones; you now share your ideas with us.”
King Country Pet Food marked the graduation in a very special way. This included a hangi for all staff. Even the mayor of Taumaranui attended the event to celebrate the group’s achievements.
Site Manager, Marcus James, was thrilled to bring the people development programmes to the Taumaranui site, to bring out people’s skills and potential. He had some encouraging feedback for the graduates:
“This is something that takes you out of your comfort zone and makes you uncomfortable but that is how you grow. We are very pleased with your results.”
It has been a very special programme, and we are very proud of everyone involved. Kai pai King Country Pet Food Graduates!
